CARDIO-PULMONARY DEPARTMENT
The focus of Tri-State’s Cardio-Pulmonary Department (formerly Respiratory Therapy) is to diagnose and treat respiratory and cardiac conditions.
For example, when you are referred to the Cardio-Pulmonary Department, you may be given a Pulmonary Function Test to diagnose and determine the severity of your lung condition. This is a simple breathing test where you will blow into a mouthpiece and a computer will measure your lung volume and airflow speed.
Other inpatient and outpatient services provided by our certified therapists include:
- Cardiac Holter monitoring 24-hour/48-hour and 30-day
- Electrocardiograms
- In-house Arterial Blood Gas Analysis
- Breathing exercises
- COPD education
