EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT

Our state-of-the-art Emergency Department is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by in-house emergency room physicians, and highly qualified, specially trained nursing staff.

The department is a twelve-bed unit that includes four trauma/cardiac rooms, an orthopedic room, an isolation room and six general treatment rooms. Our department utilizes the latest technology and provides personalized care by dedicated professionals who will make every attempt to make your visit as comfortable as possible.

Tri-State’s Emergency Department is a Level IV Trauma Center and provides general emergency care, trauma care, pediatric care and radiography when you need immediate medical attention.

If you require a higher level of care, our mission is to stabilize your medical condition and arrange transfer to the appropriate referral hospital. We utilize several helicopter and ambulance services to transfer patients when needed.

As a Cardiac Level 1 care provider, Tri-State also partners with Providence Sacred Heart’s Rural Cardiac Outreach Program. In fact, in our region for the first quarter of 2010, Tri-State was recognized by the Cardiac Level 1 Coordinator as having the best “door-to-drug” times.  Please click here for more information on this unique life-saving program.

Statewide, it is expected that a heart attack victim have an EKG within 10 minutes. The average response time at Tri-State is four minutes.
