The goal of the Pre-Operative Clinic at Tri-State Memorial Hospital is to make your surgical experience at our hospital as comfortable and stress-free as possible.
During the Pre-Operative Visit, the surgical patient will speak with a nurse regarding health status, previous procedures, medications and herbal supplements you take, and any special instructions for the day of the surgery. You may also be seen by a pharmacist to review your medication regime. The patient’s health information will be reviewed with anesthesia, but in most cases the patient will not see the anesthesia provider until the day of surgery.
After the nurse interview, any tests and patient consultations ordered by your surgeon will be completed. These tests might include blood tests with the laboratory, chest X-rays and electrocardiogram. These tests are instrumental in making sure you receive individualized, quality care.
The Pre-Operative Clinic nurse will also let you know when you need to be at the hospital on the day of the surgery. Normally, this will be one to two hours prior to the scheduled surgery time.
The Pre-Operative Clinic is located on the southeast side of the hospital within the Short Stay Specialties Unit, entrance door #17. If you have any questions regarding this visit or your planned surgery, please call the Pre-Op Clinic at 509.758.4670.Tri-State Memorial Hospital again named Most Wired!November 8, 2013 Tri-State Memorial Hospital is proud to be named Most Wired in 2013 for another ...Read More 2013 Festival of TreesNovember 4, 2013Almost as magical as Santa himself, a cold barren Nez Perce County Fair Pavilion is being ...Read More Join us September 14th for a 5k Fun Run/Walk!August 21, 2013Healthy Business Partners 5k Fun Run/Walk September 14, 2013 8:00am Registration | 8:30am Start Tri-State ...Read More (6) Upcoming Events
